Great handling
With its energetic handling, new C-MAX is a fantastic drive. It’s agile, nimble and handles brilliantly. The Control Blade independent rear suspension with an ultra stiff body and wider track, provides agile control and superb ride comfort, plus a quieter, more refined cabin. Electronic-Hydraulic Power Assisted Steering (EHPAS) means your drive comes with a lighter touch giving you more control when parking and precise control at speed.
Exterior
New C-MAX shares many new styling features with our award-winning Ford S-MAX, which won Car of the Year 2007 for bold looks that match its driving ability. New front styling with a well-defined grille and clean lines give it a sporty look. The large optional new Panoramic glass roof floods the interior with light and adds an architectural touch. In another first for Ford, tail-lamp strips featuring LED technology provide a contemporary look and practical function at the rear.
Welcome to a five-seater design that’s sleek, modern and flexible, starting with a contemporary new centre console and Smart stowage compartments. Luxurious, sculpted sports seats (available in the Sports Packs across the range) and an extending armrest place you in comfort.
To add to the driving experience, the new C-MAX offers a wide range of entertainment options including a Sony 6-CD player (optional) with MP3 player socket.
The new C-MAX incorporates many bright new technologies. High density Bi-Xenon headlamps using ultra-modern light strips for a distinctive intense beam at the front. At the rear, the latest LED technology means you can be seen, even from a distance. Also available is the new Adaptive Front Lighting System (optional) that moves the light beam as you steer to improve visibility, plus rain sensing wipers (standard on Titanium) and Voice Control with Bluetooth® (optional). There’s even a KeyFree system (optional) that automatically unlocks the doors and lets you start the car with the key fob still in your pocket.
New C-MAX has an impressive list of active and passive safety technologies ready to spring into action to keep you and your family safe from harm. Ford’s unique Intelligent Protection System (IPS) constantly watches over the vehicle. If required, it activates the most appropriate safety system – from airbags to collapsible pedals – in a split-second.
