The new Ford Focus
Dynamic new Focus revealed at Frankfurt
In a world debut, the new Ford Focus was revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2007. The Focus, revitalized inside and out, is sure to turn heads and win hearts.

Kinetic Design – Energy in Motion
Ford’s ‘kinetic Design’ direction is bold and modern. After the highly successful launch of the new Mondeo and the introduction of the S-MAX, the designers at Ford were eager to apply their ‘kinetic Design’ philosophy to the Focus – a car that’s known for its great driving dynamics. Every body panel on the Focus, except for the roof, has been restyled. This dramatic makeover embraces the ‘kinetic Design’ principals of energy in motion, giving the car an athletic, dynamic feel to match its agile drive.

Interior design
The interior of the Focus has been enhanced to offer greater versatility and luxurious comfort. The newly designed centre console takes on the flowing look of ‘kinetic Design’. And the new instrument panel illuminates with a red glow, providing better legibility. Special attention has been devoted to the quality of the interior, with the inclusion of a number of premium finishes.

Feature rich
The new Ford Focus is not shy on new features and optional extras. FordEasyFuel capless refuelling prevents fuelling mistakes. The new Deflation Detection System can give advanced warning of tyre problems. The 230 Volt power socket can be used to power electrical appliances. The new Sony entertainment system has a DAB radio and MP3 player connectivity. And the optional LED rear lights give a unique visual effect.

The Ford PowerShift Transmission
The Ford PowerShift Transmission is a completely new six-speed double-clutch transmission system with the ease of operation of an automatic transmission. When combined with the 2.0 litre Duratorq TDCi engine, the result is an approximate 10% improvement in fuel consumption and lower CO2 emission when compared with a conventional six-speed transmission.

The new Ford Focus ECOnetic
The Ford Focus ECOnetic will be the first in Ford’s new range of low CO2 vehicles. This stylish new Ford derivative emits just 115g/km of CO2 – that’s a class leading result in this segment. The Ford Focus ECOnetic shows that very favourable fuel consumption levels and significantly reduced CO2 emissions can be achieved using clever fuel-saving measures including a new low resistance transmission oil specially developed for Ford by BP. Powered by a 109 PS (80 kW) 1.6-litre Duratorq TDCi with standard Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), average consumption for this vehicle is a low 4.3 litres per 100 km.
