The Beautifully Arranged campaign, which uses musical instruments built entirely from parts of new Focus, has certainly struck a chord worldwide, and some of the instruments used in the TV ad will be on display. You’ll also be able to experience an interactive version of the Beautifully Arranged music mixer.
Almost every body panel on new Focus has been restyled with the principles of energy in motion, giving the car an athletic, dynamic feel to match its agile drive. Ford’s kinetic Design philosophy is given full flourish throughout the comprehensive range of bodystyles, which includes a 3-door, 4-door, 5-door and estate models. Bold new body colours and a choice of alloy wheels up to 18 inches complete the car’s dramatic new look.
The interior of new Focus has been enhanced to offer greater versatility and comfort with a wide range of trims available including luxurious full leather. The new centre console takes on the flowing look of kinetic Design and the crystal clear display screen ensures you can see exactly what’s happening at a glance. Everything you see and touch puts you completely in control.
Enhanced on-board technology is one of the many reasons new Focus stands out from the crowd. An innovative new warning system can give advance warning of tyre pressure problems. The new Sony entertainment system has a DAB radio and MP3 player connectivity and the LED rear lights demonstrate technology at its most eye-catching.
ECOnetic
The Ford Focus ECOnetic will be the first in Ford’s new range of ultra-low CO2 vehicles. This stylish new Ford derivative emits just 115 g/km of CO2 – a class-leading result. It shows that very favourable fuel consumption levels and significantly reduced CO2 emissions can be achieved using clever fuel-saving measures, including a new low-resistance transmission oil specially developed for Ford by BP. Powered by a 109 PS (80 kW) 1.6-litre Duratorq TDCi engine with standard Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), average consumption for this vehicle is an impressively low 4.3 litres per 100 km.
Introducing the new Focus Coupé-Cabriolet
The restyled Focus Coupé-Cabriolet debuts at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show, completing the comprehensive new Focus range. On the outside, the new four-seater combines the kinetic Designed front end of new Focus with an Italian-flavoured profile and rear end to create a car that is as stunning to look at as it is to drive. The enhanced interior has a new instrument cluster and all of the advanced technology introduced across the rest of the range is available. Factor in the best-in-class Coupé-Cabriolet luggage compartment, and whether the roof is up or down, this is a truly eye-catching and versatile vehicle.
Introducing the new Focus ST
The most powerful Ford Focus road car to date has arrived in the shape of the new Focus ST. Inside and out the restyled car looks even more exciting and purposeful than its predecessor. The honeycomb graphite mesh front grille, 5-spoke 18” alloy wheels and a unique new front bumper give the ST a look to match its performance. Step inside and the carbon-effect central instrument panel, racing pedals and sculptured sport-style front seats create a true cockpit feel.
Over and above all of the technology available across the Focus range, ST boasts additional instruments essential to the performance driver, including turbocharger boost pressure, oil temperature and oil pressure gauges.
Under the bonnet, a 2.5-litre 5-cylinder Duratec engine and a six-speed manual transmission combine to deliver an outstanding top speed in excess of 240 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.8 seconds, making the new Focus ST a truly exhilarating performance car.
